Jessie J pokes' wannabe stars

28th March 2012

Jessie J "pokes and pushes" her artists on the UK version of The Voice.

The singer stars as a judge and mentor on the hit TV talent show alongside will.i.am, Sir Tom Jones and The Script's Danny O'Donoghue.

Jessie has described what kind of coach she is to her budding contestants.

"I'm quite protective but I really throw it on my artists. I poke and push them," she told British magazine more!

"I really needed someone like me when I was going through all this. I'm living my dream every day, but I think it's important to understand the other side of doing this job. Suddenly everybody knows your name and you have to be very prepared for what the world is going to throw at you."

Jessie has revealed who gets most emotional on the judging panel. The songstress says the process hits a nerve with her as she understands the contestants' anxieties.

"Me and will.i.am cry the most," she admitted.

"I can relate to these artists. I've been in their position and I know just how scary it can be."
