A private jet crashed and killed three people near Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's French estate.
A Gulfstream IV plane that departed from Nice crashed Friday afternoon at the Castellet airport, which is located in the south of France just minutes from the superstar couple's chateau, Miraval.
The three American crew members who perished in the tragedy are reported to be a 30-year-old female and two men, ages 24 and 61.
"The plane broke in half -- one part ended up in the lake at the end of the runway and the other half caught on fire," said a source.
The Pitt-Jolie clan frequently catch flights from Castellet airport and often ride on Gulfstream IV private jets.
No members of the family were injured in the crash and they have not been connected to the event in any way.
Angelina and her brood are currently in London while she films Maleficent.
