Joe Manganiello says it's going to be "a weird, long hot summer with [his] parents" because of his raunchy on-screen parts.
The hunky actor stars in the new comedy hit Magic Mike alongside Channing Tatum and Matthew McConaughey. The film follows the lives of a group of male strippers, and Joe has joked that his risqu roles are an awkward topic of conversation for him and his mother.
"I don't want to ever talk to her about it. I certainly don't want to sit next to her at the premiere. I wouldn't want to do that to myself, or her!" he exclaimed to the New York Post.
"The other side of it is all the racy stuff I'm doing in True Blood. It's going to be a weird, long hot summer with my parents because of all that."
Joe has some revealing scenes in Magic Mike. The star is remaining coy about whether or not he used a body double.
"You know, I love the curiosity. I am revelling in the curiosity," he smiled.
The 35-year-old also joked about his talent as a stripper. Joe quipped that if he ever gives up acting he now has another career option.
"I could use it [stripping] as a Plan B. Either that or give it away for free to the right person. That sounds like a lot more fun," he laughed.
