(Cover) - EN Showbiz - John Travolta's vintage sports car has been stolen, according to US reports.

The American actor, 57, was on an outing in Santa Monica, California on Sunday when the robbery occurred.

Law enforcement sources tell US website TMZ that John had parked his 1970 Mercedes-Benz 280SL on the street while visiting a nearby Jaguar dealer.

Sources told the online publication that John "was only in the dealership for about 10 minutes" before returning to find his $100,000 vehicle missing.

The source added that John returned to the car trader and called police to report the Mercedes missing at around 3.45pm.

There are allegedly no witnesses, and no suspects as of early Monday, police told RadarOnline.

John's representatives are yet to respond to reports. (C) Cover Media
