(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Johnny Depp has revealed he once went to a fans house for dinner in a bid to help resolve their marital problems.

The 47-year-old American actor is currently promoting CGI-animated comedy Rango, where he provides the voice of the title character.

Johnny has an army of fans across the globe, and is always willing to meet and greet them at premieres. The heartthrob admits some of his followers often have rather bizarre requests, including one where a fan asked him to provide some marriage counselling.

"It's been everything from, 'Can you talk to my mom on the phone?' to 'Will you come home with me to dinner?'" he laughed in an interview with Extra at the recent premiere of Rango.

"I did go to someone's house once. He was having marital problems and I tried to mediate. It didn't work out."

Rango tells the story of a chameleon that aspires to be heroic and ends up protecting a Western town plagued by bandits. It also features the voices of Hollywood actresses Isla Fisher and Abigail Breslin. (C) Cover Media
