Neil Nitin Mukesh’s debut film, ‘Johny Gaddar’ will be remade in Telugu. Directed by Sriram’s Raghvan, the film got rave reviews and was one of the hits of 2006. He was also willing to make a sequel. But due to some unknown reasons the project got shelved. Director Lakshmikanth Chenna has now roped in a production house, Kuber Cinemas for the remake. Lakshmikanth Chenna who shot to fame by his films ‘Hyderabad Nawabs’ and ‘Ninna Nedu Repu’ has brought official rights of ‘Johnny Gaddar’ from Reliance Entertainment.
The film maker liked the script of the film and thought that it caters to today’s generation and is quiet unique. He also claims to rectify the flaws and mistakes made in the original film and will try to make it better than the earlier one.
The remake will star Krishi Arimanda, Sai Kumar and Gracy Singh in the lead. Though the film has not been titled yet, it will go on the floors by January.
