August 19, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Hollywood hottie Angelina Jolie and Academy Award winner George Clooney have refuted the reports of their involvement with a biopic on Marilyn Monroe.
Jolie was rumored to essay the role of late American actress and Clooney was supposedly going to play Monroe's close friend, late American singer and actor Frank Sinatra, in the movie adaptation of the novel 'The Life and Opinions' by Andrew O' Hagan. The author had earlier supposedly confirmed both the actors for the respective roles.
But now, the representatives of both the stars have cleared the air by confirming that they are not playing the roles. Speaking at the London premiere of her latest movie Salt earlier this week, Jolie said that this came as news to her now as she has no clue about it but she is feeling flattered. The actress confirmed that it is a new rumor and nothing real exists in this news as she has not even got a call regarding this offer.
Rubbishing the reports, the representative of the Out of Sight star Clooney said that these are totally fabricated piece of news.
However, if the two stars would have played the roles in reality, it would have been a treat for the Marilyn Monroe fans.
