(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Jon Hamm was reportedly so unsteady on his feet at his birthday party he had to be helped out of the venue by pals.
The American actor plays suave Don Draper on TV show Mad Men, but was apparently not channelling his character at his recent 40th bash. The star reached the landmark age on March 10, and invited a group of his close friends to celebrate with him at the Top of the Standard nightclub at the Standard Hotel in New York that evening.
Saturday Night Live creator Lorne Michaels, actor Paul Rudd and comedian Sarah Silverman were among the guests, who had the venue to themselves until midnight. After that it was opened to the public, but the group were given a special VIP area to continue the party.
Jon was spotted sipping an orange-coloured beverage throughout the evening, but things seemed to have got too much for him when he left.
As the clock neared 1am, our source says, a couple of the actor's male buddies, one on each side could be seen physically helping an unsteady Hamm toward the club's exit. And when the birthday boy departed, so did the rest of his guests, reports New York Daily News.
Jons spokesperson hasnt commented on the reports.
The star had a busy time last week, attending businessman Donald Trumps comedy roast on Wednesday. He also went to the events after-party, where he was seen chatting to his Man Men co-stars John Slattery and Talia Balsam. (C) Cover Media
