(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Jon Hamm spoils his Mad Men co-star Elisabeth Moss, who describes him as a very modern man.
Jon portrays misogynistic advertising executive Don Draper in hit US drama series Mad Men, with his female co-stars including Elisabeth, January Jones and Christina Hendricks.
Despite his character Don evoking the sexist attitudes widespread in the 1960s period the programme is set, Elisabeth has praised Jon for knowing exactly how to treat a lady.
Dons prehistoric, but Jon is a very modern man, she explained during a joint interview with the actor.
Hes polite, chivalrous, opens doors for me, even brings coffee for me off set, and I get very much spoilt by him.
Jon has spoken in the past of his struggle to make it in Hollywood. The actor got his big break with Mad Men, which premiered in 2007, and he remains humble about his success. The star had to take on more obscure jobs in the past, including some rather X-rated forms of employment.
I am coming up to my 40th birthday, and I dont let myself forget that for 15 years after I left school I struggled to make a living. So whats happening to me now is very nice, he told British newspaper The Daily Mail.
Ive been a barman, a waiter, a teacher, and I even helped out on a soft porn movie as a set dresser, not a performer, I hasten to add because Id do everything I could to make enough money to pay the rent. (C) Cover Media
