The Kolkata Film Festival has just begun. Starting today until November 17, the festival will go on for 8 days talking about 180 films from 60 countries and 140 directors.
Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan is all set to attend the festival and promote his upcoming movie 'Jab Tak Hai Jaan'. SRK is scheduled to attend the inauguration of the 18th edition of the Kolkata International film festival.
Excited about the event, here is what he had to say, "It is very nice to be here. There is a film festival and I am looking forward to it and as always it is very nice to be here."
Co-stars Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma will also attend the inaugural ceremony and popular star Amitabh Bachchan is also likely to attend the event.
It is also heard that, a group of 48 inmates serving life sentences at Kolkata's Presidency and Alipore jail will be entertaining our superstars with an eight minute dance performance which will be an excerpt from Rabindranath Tagore's dance drama 'Valmiki Pratibha'.
The Indian cinema will be celebrating its 100 years and during the festival a few classic films from the silent era will be showcased.
