Justin Bieber: I need smart helpers

5th April 2012

Justin Bieber needs a "bunch of smart people" to help his career.

The Canadian star has been storming the charts with his music and the recent release of his new track Boyfriend. The Baby singer has sold more than eight million albums worldwide and has more than 19 million fans following him on Twitter.

However, the 18-year-old insists he couldn't have done it without the assistance of his talented team.

"No, I'm not a one man genius," he told Australian radio's The Kyle and Jackie O Show.

"I have a team of many geniuses working with me. You need a bunch of smart people to help you do stuff."

Justin rose to fame after he was discovered on YouTube in 2008 by Scooter Braun, who became his manager and introduced him to Usher. The singer has since won numerous awards for his work including Artist of the Year at the 2010 American Music Awards.

"I don't really pride myself on awards. I pride myself in my fans and what I accomplish as far as that goes," he said.

The singer recently tweeted about what to expect on his upcoming album Believe. He said the record would address rumours following claims he fathered a child with a fan. Justin promises his songs are considerate of other people's feelings when addressing the gossip about his personal life.

"You know what - as long as you're doing it innocently and not trying to harm anybody then I think things can only turn out well," he said of the tracks.
