Justin Bieber: Im used to criticism

18th February 2011

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Justin Bieber has revealed he is used to people criticising his music.

The Canadian sensation has won a legion of fans since being discovered in 2008 but has often been criticised for looking and sounding younger than his age, his teen-pop music and his image. He has been a common target for internet bloggers, users of YouTube and various Facebook groups.

The 16-year-old says its refreshing if he sees something positive posted about him when he expects it to be bad.

I was on the internet last night. I saw these videos of these guys [reviewing the film] and I thought OK, this guys going to hit on me for ten minutes straight, saying that I have ugly hair and I look like a girl and my voice hasnt dropped and all this stuff, he told Cover Media.

So, I go to the video, and this guys saying: OK, Im not going to lie, I hated Justin Bieber and now after watching this movie it got me to really respect him. That was really good to hear. That was cool.

There have been a number of online attacks against the musician during his rise to global stardom. The singers YouTube videos were hacked into so as to redirect users to adult websites.

Rumours that Justin had died, joined a cult, and his mother offered $50,000 to pose topless in Playboy magazine were all fabricated on the internet. (C) Cover Media
