Justin Timberlake was deeply "moved" by his attendance at the Marine Corps Ball.
Justin attended the annual military event held in Richmond, Virginia with combat instructor Kelsey De Santis on Saturday. Kelsey previously posted a video invitation to Justin on YouTube asking him to be her date to the function.
The multitalented singer-and-actor is glad that he accepted Kelsey's invite, as the event was so memorable for him.
"My time at the Marine Corps Ball turned out to be one of the most moving evenings I've ever had," Justin wrote on his website.
Justin thought highly of his date for the gala. He was impressed by Kelsey's humility.
"Kelsey seemed to me to be so humble and honest... Very cool. She also simultaneously seemed like she was nervous about the whole evening and if I was going to enjoy myself. 'Are you ok?' she asked 2 or 3 times."
Justin was also inspired by Kelsey's selflessness.
"I have to tell you, it's not every day that I meet a 23-year-old girl and she's more worried about if I'm having fun or if I'm comfortable!" Justin quipped. "It hit me all of a sudden that these [military personnel] were the type of people that look after us and our freedom... Humble, concerned for others before themselves... This was the type of person [the American] Marine Corps was building. I was really blown away."
Other ball attendees were equally impressed with Justin's presence.
"We all brought sexy back! Justin seemed to have a good time, and it was great to see him there," a Marine officer told People magazine.
Justin's newest movie In Time is currently in theatres.
