Kajal Agarwal is all smiles about being a part of the Ajay Devgn starrer 'Singham', a remake of Suriya's Tamil film titled 'Singam'. Anushka Shetty had played the heroine in the original version. The film directed by Rohit Shetty is fast taking shape.
"I have watched the Tamil film and I must say that Anushka has done a wonderful job. She has performed her role beautifully." says Kajal and she adds, 'However, the heroine's role has undergone certain changes in the Hindi version. There will be no shades of the one played by Anushka. I am trying to give my best to the character.'
The actress, who is a great admirer of Suriya will soon share screen space with the actor in 'Maatran', a film to be directed by K V Anand.
'Singam' directed by Hari and released by Sun Pictures, was one of the biggest blockbusters of Kollywood in 2010. The film was later dubbed and released in Telugu as Yemudu.
