Director Sundar C.'s 'Kalakalappu' has hit the screens today. The movie stars Anjali, Shiva, Oviya and Vimal in the lead roles. UTV Motion Pictures has produced 'Kalakalappu' along with Kushboo Sundar for Avni Cinemax.

The movie was initially titled Masala cafe. Says Sundar C', 'the film is hilarious entertainer. It has come really good. All credit should go to my artistes'.

Sundar states that producers UTV gave him a lot of freedom while making the film, which is reflected on screen. 'I have made no commercial compromise. Thanks to UTV for their non-interference.'

On his part, Dhananjayan of UTV, said, 'the film is close to my heart. It is laced with humour all through and Sundar C has done a phenomenal job'.

Vimal, who plays the lead role, says, 'both Anjali and Oviya look their glamorous best in the song sequences.' Heaping praises on Anjali', he said, 'She is turning into a very fine performer'.
