Karan Johar, who embraced fatherhood just a couple of months back is currently on a paternity leave and is enjoying this new phase of life with his kids Yash Johar and Roohi Johar. The tiny toddlers who were born via surrogacy were premature and had to extend their stay in the hospital for a whole long month. But as now they are home, Karan is leaving no stone unturned in nurturing them and does not even miss their presence for a single moment. The filmmaker recently spoke about his kids in an interview and made some candid confessions as well.
While talking about his kids Karan said, "When I held them for the first time, it was a beginning of a different kind of a love story altogether and I do not know how to explain it. They do a lot of sleeping, and I do a lot of staring because I can’t believe that they are mine. I can't believe that this is going to be the best phase of my life. This has also been the most emotionally overwhelming time for me and my mum, in a good way. To me, my kids are two superstars. Every time they do anything, it is a big thing for me."
When asked about any help and advices or suggestions he quickly replied, "I need all the help I can get. It is amazing how much advice I am getting from mothers. From which formula milk, how to get to burp them to what to do with – it’s amazing. Eventually, I think you have to find your own path, and I think I have."
After Tusshar Kapoor, Karan is the second celeb to become a single parent via surrogacy. Though he faced criticisms at the beginning, but he confessed that only his mother's opinion mattered at that time and she is his biggest support and strength till date.
