Karthi, one of the hottest and happening actors of Tamil cinema, married Ranjini at the CODISSIA trade fair complex in Coimbatore, on Sunday morning. It was a traditional Kongu wedding.

The CODISSIA grounds in Coimbatore turned into a festive spot with elaborate satin tents and floral fountains, guests from all across the State flew in. Among the stars who attended the weeding were actor Prabhu and his wife, actors Rajesh, Poornima Bhagyaraj, Nanda, Karthik and his wife Suchitra, yesteryear music director Shankar Ganesh, ace lensman G. Venket Ram and directors Bala, K.S. Ravikumar and R.V. Udhayakumar. Orator Solomon Pappiah was there too.

Karthi's father and yesteryear actor Shivakumar, his brother and actor Surya and his actor-wife, Jothika welcomed the guests, which included actors of present and past. Security was tight in and around the venue.
