Kat Graham confesses that "men taught her" how to apply make-up.

The stunning 22-year-old The Vampire Diaries actress turned to her cross-dressing comrades for beauty advice.

Kat appreciates the lessons she learned from her glamorous pals.

"[I got make-up tips] from my best friends, who are now drag queens," she told People magazine. "Men taught me!"

Although Kat appreciates an ornate visage, the actress tries to keep her daily style as simple as possible.

"If I have my eyebrow pencil, I'm good for the day," she shared. "Thick eyebrows, high-waisted jeans, crop topsI'm all about the 90s right now."

Kat appreciates fashion, but her life goals are larger than style.

The actress hopes to make an impact for the good in the global community.

"I want to have built 100 wells in Africa [via the Water Project by the time I'm 30]," Kat said. "I'm at six right now."
