Kate Middleton wedding gown predictions

16th November 2010

(Cover) - EN Star Style - Fashionistas have predicted Kate Middleton will walk down the aisle in Bruce Oldfield or Phillipa Lepley.

It was announced today that Kate will marry Britains Prince William next year, and the public and fashion insiders alike are already eagerly awaiting how the British beauty will style herself for the royal wedding.

The pair met as students at St. Andrews University in Scotland, and have been in a relationship for around eight years, with Kate emerging as somewhat of a fashion icon.

It is thought Kate will wear a designer from her native country on her big day, as this is the tradition in British royal weddings.

Peta Hunt, fashion director at You & Your Wedding magazine, has predicted Kate may opt for a gown made by Bruce, who is famed for his elegant couture, or bridal wear specialist Phillipa.

Whoever Kate eventually opts for, Peta believes the robe will be demure, as Kate is famed for her laidback approach to fashion and insiders think its unlikely shell settle on anything too glitzy. Peta thinks a high-neck would suit Kates frame, and has suggested her shoulders wont be exposed.

"I can't see it will be covered in Swarovski crystals. I think it will be hand embroidered and I think with lace," she explained.

"She must have some sort of crown or tiara. I would imagine shoulders would be covered at some stage. I think a high neck would look fantastic. It's quite refined and could be quite stylish." (C) Cover Media
