Britains Prince William wed Catherine Middleton at Westminster Abbey in London on Friday, and they are now known as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. The union was watched by an estimated two billion people worldwide, with supermodel Kate said to be glued to her television screen.
The star is set to marry her fianc, The Kills rocker Jamie Hince, this summer and seeing the royal wedding helped her decide on some of the details for her big day.
Kate has been inspired by the royal wedding and Kate Middleton in particular, a source said. She has changed a number of details about the wedding day, the flowers and the bridesmaid dresses in particular.
Catherine wore an Alexander McQueen gown created by the labels designer Sarah Burton on her big day. The dress sported lace sleeves, a sweetheart neckline and a train which was over two metres long, and went down a storm with fashion critics.
Kate hopes her gown will be just as special, and its claimed hes planning to incorporate hints of the royal dress into her outfit.
She's even hoping to make some Kate-inspired alterations to her dress, the source added. (C) Cover Media
