January 26, 2011 (Sampurn Wire): It seems that Katie Holmes is presently going through a rough patch in her life. Katie starred in 'The Kennedys' and it failed to create any impression. Holmes' The Son of No One is now at Sundance Festival and has already termed as a failure at the box office. The Son of No One is all set to premiere on January 28 at Sundance Film Festival.
According to various sources, The Son of No One also boasts of stars like Al Pacino, Ray Liotta, Juliette Binoche and Channing Tatum but still it failed to draw audiences at the theaters. The theater had lesser number of audiences.
Critics responses have been very negative. Tabloids seemed to settle their scores with Katie. The tabloids reported that many walked out of the theater even before the credits for the film were up. However, when one of the audiences clapped after the show got over, no one joined him. However, Cassian Elves, who is in charge of the distribution rights of the film elaborates that a projectionist at the theater switched on the lights before the movie actually ended.
Besides that Katies role has been criticized as many feel that she was a complete mismatch for Al Pacino. Besides that her acting skills has been ordinary without really much to talk about.
These views have been made to depict Katie as a failure. Holmes is also under the scanner for her marriage to Tom Cruise and tabloids left no chance to make her life miserable with such snide remarks.
