They say all is fair in love and war and going by Katrina Kaif's decisions, it seems like the actress is literally going by the book. 

Katrina, we hear was invited to the coveted Cannes film festival as the representative of a leading cosmetic brand that she endorses. 

As soon as she received the invitation, the actress started making plans for her grand red carpet debut at Cannes. But soon she realised that the date of the event is clashing with the launch of her boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor's maiden production 'Jagga Jasoos', where she stars opposite him. Hence, she decided to back out of the international festival. 

Despite of the given importance of Cannes, Katrina chose to stay back without disturbing the dates of Ranbir's film which will be directed by Anurag Basu. 

The film has Ranbir and Katrina in lead and the dates for their film have been meticulously planned for the fact that the two are busiest stars of this era. 

Katrina realised that if she opts for Cannes, the whole team will have to rework on dates and she was not ready to disrupt the schedule as she knows that the film is a big step for Ranbir. 

And that's how she decided to put love before career by giving Cannes a miss for beau's debut production.
