Katy Perry proud of dance moves

29th June 2012

Katy Perry thinks her "bad dance moves" and "horrible lower teeth" are what make her unique.

The Hot n Cold singer has recently been promoting her fly-on-the-wall documentary Part of Me, which gives fans the chance to see a different side to the pop superstar. For many of the backstage scenes Katy is seen without make-up, something the singer doesn't mind.

"There are a lot of things that are personally uncomfortable to show, especially me without make-up and completely bloated or crying," she told Parade magazine. "Nobody relates to being perfect. I'm OK with having bad dance moves. I'm OK with having horrible lower teeth. That's what makes me me, and for some reason it's worked out all right."

The film follows Katy's rise to fame, from humble beginnings as a gospel singer to breaking world records with her multi-platinum selling album Teenage Dream. Coupled with the backstage elements, the film shows Katy's high profile divorce from British comedian Russell Brand taking its toll on the singer. The 27-year old explained why she included those scenes in the movie.

"I like to go out there looking like a strong woman, because I am strong," she said. "But I am also a woman who goes through all kinds of problems and highs and lows. I wanted to show the complete spectrum."
