Keira Knightly has opened up about juggling her successful movie career and her personal life.

The actress recently became engaged to British rocker James Righton and is starring in the new movie Seeking a Friend for the End of the World with Steve Carell.

Keira tells US Weekly that although she adores what she does, it is important to make time for her loved ones too.

"When you first become successful, you want to do as many projects as you can," she told the publication.

"Then you realise that in that whole life-work balance, there's very little life and a hell lot of work.

"I just want to spend time with the people I love. "

Keira added that it is imperative for her to have decent breaks in between her movies as it actually helps her acting.

"My work improves when I have life experiences," she shared.
