(Cover) - EN Star Style - Kelis has described her body as "more than the Hollywood standard".

The Grammy Award-winning songstress is best known for her tracks including 2003 hit Milkshake, which helped propel her third album Tasty to mainstream success.

The 31-year-old star is proud of her curves and insists that she'd never slim down to a "waif-like" weight because she doesn't think it would suit her.

"I'm always gonna be more than the Hollywood standard. But I don't ever wanna be waif thing, I have no desire to starve myself I wasn't raised that way," she confessed in an interview with Pride magazine.

Kelis will never conform to society's version of what an attractive figure looks like. The stunning star says women should lose weight, exercise or diet if they feel they need to do it for themselves, rather than anybody else.

"I never feel pressure to look a certain way because I'm in the spotlight or because of what society dictates. Number one, I wanna work out for myself, and number two, if you see yourself on TV and you don't like what you see it's a personal thing it's nothing to do with other people saying you have to lose weight," she added.
