Kelly Clarkson is glad she's single this Christmas.

The 29-year-old singer has previously spoken about her lack of interest in chasing romance. Kelly says having a boyfriend over the festive period only ever makes her feel anxious.

"I am still single. Still key word!" she laughed in an interview with Closer magazine. "But I actually enjoy it most of the time. Holidays are always very tense for me, they're when I don't mind being single so much."

Kelly worries about giving her lover gifts over the holidays. The songstress always second guesses her decision after picking something out.

"If I have a boyfriend I'm worried I don't have the right gift, or I freak out I'm not doing what I'm supposed to, so being single at Christmas is good for me!" she added.
