(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Kim Kardashian became miserable living in New York because she couldnt find a good place to work out.

The 30-year-old reality TV star loves residing in Los Angeles because it enables her to lead a healthy lifestyle. She moved to the big apple last year to film Kourtney and Kim Take New York alongside big sister Kourtney, 31, and admits maintaining her well-toned body became a struggle.

The programme follows the siblings as they open their third D-A-S-H boutique in the glamorous city, with the eagerly anticipated season finale set to air in the US on March 20, and Kim has discussed just how happy she was to return to Los Angeles once filming was complete.

Being new to the city I didnt really have a proper gym. I didnt know where to go so I gained some weight when I was out there and that was pretty miserable for me, she explained in a behind-the-scenes video promo for her SELF magazine cover shoot.

I just didnt feel like myself, I couldnt wait to come home and just get in the gym - that was the first thing I did.

Kim is excited about her SELF cover, with the publication hitting newsstands in America today, and says she appreciated how demure the styling was. The stunning star is often seen sporting seductive attire and glitzy make-up, so she enjoyed having the chance to show her natural beauty.
