(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Kim Kardashian's wedding cake is based on that of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
Britain's Prince William married Kate Middleton in London in April, and they're now known as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. They arranged for an eight-tier cake to cut at their reception, with each separate level decorated with different sugar flowers and icing.
TV star Kim will marry her basketball player fianc Kris Humphries on August 20, and is said to be keen to replicate the stunning cake.
"Kim wants it to resemble Prince William and Duchess Kate's!" a source told Us Weekly.
Kim's sweet treat is even bigger than the royal couple's, boasting a staggering ten tiers. It will apparently feature chocolate chips and have both white and black icing.
The pair chose the cake last month, and it's said to have cost between $15,000 and $20,000.
Kim and Kris got engaged after a whirlwind romance and are sparing no expense when it comes to their nuptials.
There are rumours the event may cost as much as $10 million, with speculation there will be several ceremonies in different places.
It's already known Kim's dress is being created by Vera Wang, while earlier this week the star announced she's created a special scent just for her wedding day. (C) Cover Media
