Kim Kardashian wedding venue curse?

9th August 2012

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Kim Kardashan's ill-fated wedding to Kris Humphries last August is still continuing to have a knock-on effect.

The over-the-top nuptials which took place at the Montecito, California home of Google CEO Eric Schmidt was once a haven for the rich and famous to hold their big day.

But RadarOnline reports that the 1926 Spanish Colonial mansion is no longer popular leading the owner to consider selling the place that was once a great rental earner.

"Since Kim married Kris at Eric's Montecito home, no one wants to get married there anymore," a source told the site.

"Before Kim, the home was often used in the summer months as a place where the rich could hold their private weddings but now couples are shunning the estate because they think the place is jinxed.

"They saw that Kim's marriage lasted just 72 days and they just don't want the same fate happening to them."

Eric had bought the place from talk show host Ellen DeGeneres for $20 million in 2007.

With Kris and Kim's one-year anniversary coming up on August 20, the divorce to officially end the 72-day union has yet to be finalised. (C) Cover Media
