(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Kimberly Stewart has given birth to her first daughter.

The daughter of rocker Rod Stewart announced she was expecting a child in April. Actor Benicio Del Toro is the baby's father, although he and Kimberly, 32, are no longer a couple.

Rod, his wife Penny Lancaster-Stewart and Kimberly's mother Alana Stewart were all at the hospital in Los Angeles when Kimberly gave birth yesterday.

The child's name hasn't been announced yet, although it's known she weighed 8lbs. 9oz. when she was born and measured 22ins.

Benicio confirmed he was the baby's father shortly after Kimberly's pregnancy was made public.

"Benicio is the father and very supportive," his spokesperson said. "Although [he and Kimberly] are not a couple, they are looking forward to the arrival of the baby."

Kimberly's pregnancy came as a surprise to many as her liaison with Benicio was not publicly known about. The pair have remained on good terms, although it's been claimed Kimberly was hoping to have a relationship with the actor.

She is currently single but has most recently been rumoured to have dated actors Rhys Ifans and Jude Law. In 2005, she was engaged to Laguna Beach star Talan Torriero.

Benicio, 44, has previously been linked to a host of beauties including Scarlett Johansson, Alicia Silverstone and Minnie Driver. He recently told an American website that he is too busy for a girlfriend. (C) Cover Media
