Not all rumours are untrue!

Just recently, it was rumoured that Alia Bhatt may star opposite Ranbir Kapoor in an Ayan Mukerji film. 

And now, producer Karan Johar has officially announced the same.

"AYAN MUKERJI's next for Dharma productions is slated to begin mid next year and release December 23rd,2016. RANBIR KAPOOR and ALIA BHATT...," Karan wrote on his microblogging page.

This will be the first time that Alia will be paired opposite Ranbir in a film. Alia who has been very vocal about being a huge Ranbir Kapoor fan, is sure to be on seventh heaven.

Fans are surely going to be excited about this new pair on the block.
