Konkona Sen Sharma is thrilled to have received a best actress award at South Asian Film Festival for her Bengali film 'Kadambari'.

She tweeted, "Thrilled to have received Best Actress award at the Washington DC South Asian Film Festival! Kadambari Best Film & Court had Best Director!"

It was a three day festival which started on September 25, 2015. Besides a best actress award, film also won an award in the best film category.

Directed by Suman Ghosh, it was based on the life of a great poet Rabindranath Tagore and his relationship with his sister-in-law Kadambari Devi.

Along with this film India's Oscar entry 'Court' also bagged an award for best direction. This film had won a National award in early 2015.
