Kristen Stewart slams fakery

9th August 2012

Kristen Stewart claimed she hated "fake" people just days before her affair was revealed.

The actress was speaking at Comic-Con in San Diego last month when she made the comments. Around ten days later, Kristen admitted to having an illicit romance with her married Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders.

While promoting the upcoming The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 at the Comic-Con event, Kristen said some actors have phony personas and she hoped never to be like them.

"I don't like people like that. People who are a complete non-person but somehow through the lens seem like they are on and interesting and engaged," she told Entertainment Weekly. "I care way more about the people standing in the room. I don't want anyone leaving and saying, 'God, that girl is so fake.'"

Kristen was being interviewed along with her then-boyfriend Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner, who also star in the Twilight franchise.

The 22-year-old actress went on to claim that she had been advised to put on an act when she attended high-profile showbiz events. However, Kristen insisted she would rather stay true to who she really is.

"People tell me to make it easier on myself and to play a character when I go out on carpets and stuff," she added. "But you know what? I'd rather be me."

The magazine reports that "nothing seemed amiss" during the interview and both Kristen and Robert appeared "relaxed".
