Rakesh Roshan's 'Koi... Mil Gaya' and 'Krrish' are two superhero films in Bollywood that have done exceptionally well at the box office. As father Rakesh and son Hrithik Roshan are gearing up for the third installment titled 'Krrish 3', it is heard that besides the film, it will be made into a cartoon as well.
Yes, animation production house Toonz has partnered with Cartoon Network and Roshan's FilmKRAFT Productions to produce four animated movies based on 'Krrish'.
"The animated 'Krrish' franchise are fun films that are guaranteed to be a visual treat with mass appeal. We are thrilled about partnering with the legendary Rakesh Roshan and Cartoon Network," Toonz Animation India Chief Executive P. Jayakumar said after announcing the pact.
The animated series will follow the childhood of Krishna, who discovers that he can save the world with the powers bestowed upon him.
Under the agreement, a series of four movies will be created in the next two years. The first titled 'Kid Krrish', will air on Cartoon Network on July 14.
When Rakesh Roshan was asked about this new project, he said, "Since 'Krrish 3' will be ready for release this Diwali, I wanted to revive the memory of 'Krrish' with children and the newer generation who may have not seen 'Koi Mil Gaya' or 'Krrish'. I am happy to have collaborated with Turner and Toonz Animation."
'Krrish 3' stars Hrithik Roshan, Priyanka Chopra, Kangana Ranaut and Vivek Oberoi in lead roles.
