(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo have shown off their flashy new diamond rings.

The couple, who got married on Necker Island last Friday, enlisted the help of celebrity jeweller David Bader to help them design the special jewels.

While Vanessa wanted something traditional, Nick apparently wanted a ring that was more rugged to match his personality.

"Vanessa was definitely looking for a ring to match her engagement ring," David told People magazine.

Her ring was a platinum eternity band of Asscher-cut diamonds which complimented her square cut diamond engagement ring.

"I wanted something huskier and thicker," Nick said, and opted for a platinum band which included 24 square diamonds to match his bride's ring.

"They both wanted a substantial looking ring with diamonds, but Nick wanted his to be masculine at the same time," David added.

They both had a heartfelt message inscribed inside although they are keeping the special words to themselves for now.

David shared that the pair were "two extremely easy people to work with" and described the experience as "a real pleasure". (C) Cover Media
