Lady Gaga hates needy men

24th May 2011

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Lady Gaga finds it irritating when she goes on dates with needy suitors.

The 25-year-old singer is currently single, having reportedly ended her on/off relationship with Luc Carl earlier this year.

Gaga explained recently that she rarely has the time to go on dates, although she has had her fair share of romantic rendezvous in the past. The songstress admits many have been disastrous, adding that one of her greatest pet peeves is when potential lovers try too hard.

"I've had lots of bad dates too many to remember!" she laughed in an interview with more! magazine.

"The worst is when they're asking you repeatedly during the date if you're having a good time, like, Are you having a good time?' and Do you think this is going well? I think this is going well do you think we'll go out again?'

"And I'm like, I'm just finishing my chicken!'"

Despite not appreciating neediness in potential partners, Gaga would nevertheless consider herself to be a romantic. She also believes in the notion of a soul mate, but thinks it is possible to have deep feelings for more than one person.

"No, I believe you can fall in love over and over again," she replied when asked if she thinks there's just one perfect person for her.

"But I do believe in soul mates. And that's because I'm a bit of an old romantic at heart or a bad romantic."

On the subject of dates, the singer has also been discussing how she used to flirt to earn extra tips when she worked as a waitress before her rise to fame. The star appeared on yesterday's episode of The Late Show with David Letterman wearing a black mask and leather jacket with boots, teasing she had come as "Batman", and explained her former flirty ways.

"I used to flirt with everybody so I would get tips, but it wouldn't work as well if they were on a date," she laughed.

The songstress also teased host David when he quizzed her about her appearance at this year's Grammy Awards inside an egg.

"I wonder what would happen if I put you in an egg... we could go together ... you could be the yolk!" she smiled. (C) Cover Media
