(Cover) - EN Showbiz - LeAnn Rimes has furiously denied rumours she is engaged.

Earlier this week E! News reported the 28-year-old singer had accepted her boyfriend Eddie Cibrians marriage proposal. However, LeAnn had taken to her Twitter account to say the rumours are 150 percent untrue.

LeAnn fell for Eddie last year when they met on the set of TV movie Northern Lights. Their romance sparked a great deal of controversy as LeAnn was still married to Dean Sheremet, while Eddie was married to Brandi Glanville the mother of his two children.

Even though LeAnn is still madly in love with Eddie, she has dismissed claims they are planning to tie the knot.

"I've about had it. Even though this is positive 'news' it's not true, LeAnn wrote on her micro blog on Friday. "Eddie and I are beyond happy and in love and look forward to one day sharing such private news with you all. Hopefully will be able to enjoy it privately and share it with our family and friend's before the world knows."

LeAnn then went on to joke about the constant speculation into her private life, adding: "I'M PREGNANT TOO!!! LOL."

Engagement reports first began circulating last weekend after 37-year-old Eddie posted a picture on his Twitter account of him on bended knee standing in front of a surprised looking LeAnn. However, LeAnn later insisted the photo had been a Halloween hoax.

The singer has also thanked her fans for their kind words and congratulations, but says she decided to speak out about the rumours before they spiralled out of control.

"Thanks to all of our wonderful fans for the premature congats, but for now, let's all be happy we're happy and still and will remain together! Eddie and I felt we couldn't let this rumor go on any longer (sic)," she added on her Twitter account. (C) Cover Media
