(Cover) - EN Star Style - Leighton Meester is to be the face of Vera Wangs new fragrance.

The actress plays Blair Waldorf in American drama Gossip Girl, which is renowned for the fashion-forward outfits worn by the female stars. She has previously starred in Clearasil commercials, and is also a spokesperson for Herbal Essences shampoo.

It has now been reported Leightons latest role is with the legendary designer, who says she embodies the very essence of her latest scent.

She has the beauty, talent and spirit will inspire all the young women that I hope will enjoy this passionate, new young fragrance, Vera told WWD.

The name of the new perfume is still unknown, although work is starting on the advertising campaign soon. Photographer Carter Smith will shoot the images in Manhattan over the coming weekend. They will begin to appear in magazines next summer, which is when the scent will hit stores. (C) Cover Media
