(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Leonardo DiCaprio insists he did understand Inception, claiming his initial comments about the complex plot were misconstrued.

The talented 36-year-old actor gave an astonishing performance in the Christopher Nolan-directed blockbuster, which hit screens earlier this year.

The highbrow action movie featured intellectual themes about dream therapy, and some of the cast members including Leonardo initially hinted that they had been baffled by the plot. However, the actor has now revealed he did fundamentally comprehend the film, just not every detail.

I was quoted in the press saying I didnt know what this movie was about, but thats not the truth. What I meant was that this is Chris Nolans world; for us to keep track of what is going on in his head is challenging at times, clarified the star in an interview with Total Film.

Leonardo says Christopher himself told the cast - which included French Oscar-winner Marion Cotillard and critically acclaimed rising star Ellen Page - that they didnt need to worry about understanding everything. The director believed he was the only one who needed to worry about all the smaller, more complex details of the plot.
