(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Lily Allen says singing is "magical".

The British star, who had hits including Smile and The Fear, admits she misses her singing career because she loved seeing and hearing the reaction from her fans.

Lily married her beau Sam Cooper last month in a traditional English ceremony, with Sam revealing she is pregnant at their wedding reception.

The 26-year-old songstress who tragically lost her unborn son six months into her pregnancy earlier this year says she couldn't have a music career right now because of her family commitments.

"[Singing] is magical. I love it; I wish that I could do it. But I can't commit to going on tour for seven months and leaving my [husband]," she confessed in an interview with the August edition of Elle. "I don't like being away from him for one day. I really miss singing my songs to people and seeing the reaction on their faces. It's one of the most special things you can do, or it was for me, anyway."

Lily says it is "amazing" how song lyrics have the ability to help people. The brunette beauty has revealed that although she won't be continuing with a music career herself, she is still plugging away behind the scenes.

"I thought it was amazing that something I had written could be relevant to people and mean so much to them and possibly even help them," she mused. "I'm still writing, I'm just writing for other people. I've nearly finished a musical; I think it'll be out sometime next year." (C) Cover Media
