(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Lindsay Lohan says shes best friends with James Franco.

The troubled actress is currently trying to get her career back on track following a spate of legal troubles and stints in rehab.

She has explained shes considering a role in upcoming movie Oz: The Great and the Powerful, believed to be the part that Blake Lively is also in the running for. Lindsay isnt worried about the competition though, explaining she wants the role because it would give her the opportunity to work with her close friend James, who is already signed to the project.

I think the only role I could play is Glinda, she told New York Post.

I'll only do the movie if I can work with [James Franco]. We're like best friends. We're hanging out later.

The 24-year-old also opened up about another project shes hoping to land. I want to be in Oliver Stone's Savages. That's the role I really want, she said.

Over the last few weeks there has been increasing speculation that Lindsay will appear in upcoming film Gotti: Three Generations, about legendary mobster John Gotti. John Travolta is playing the lead role and its thought Lindsay is being lined up to play Johns daughter Victoria.

There are claims Lindsay has been handpicked for the part by Victoria, and the actress has now hinted that is true.

[There is a] family connection, she said. My dad was in jail with the grandfather.
