LL Cool J is to host the upcoming Grammy Awards.
The 44-year-old rapper has taken the reins at the annual awards nominations concert yearly since 2008. It's now been announced he will do the same for the actual event, which will take place on Sunday February 12.
"I'm thrilled to be part of Music's Biggest Night," the hip-hop star said in a statement. "I will always have fond memories of my first Grammys Awards and to now be hosting the Grammy show, in the company of so many other incredible artists, is a dream come true."
The Grammys is known for not always having a host. The last time someone did take charge of proceedings was in 2005, when Queen Latifah took to the stage. Ellen DeGeneres, Rosie O'Donnell and Billy Crystal have also taken the role in the past.
The 54th Grammy Awards will feature a host of big name stars on the stage, among them Kelly Clarkson, Bruno Mars, Nicki Minaj and Taylor Swift.
It's thought other well-known singers and bands will also perform.
