11-11-11 was definitely an auspicious date for everyone. Actress Mamta Mohandas got engaged to her childhood sweetheart Pregith, a Bahrain based businessman, in Cochin on November 11 noon.

The Sivapathikaram girl exchanged rings with Pregith in a private ceremony. Pregith is a businessman born and brought up in Bahrain and has his business established there as well as in Cochin. Mamta and Pregith have been friends since childhood.

"It is the most special day in my life," says Mamta. Apart from the engagement date being a once in a century date, Mamta has another reason to be happy about the occassion.

According to sources, Pregith's family got a house contructed in Cochin and they held the house warming ceremony of the house as well on the 11th of November, also because his grandmother has 11 siblings - most of them into their 80s and 90s - and they wanted to make it a jovial get-together for all 11 of them.
