Mani Ratnam's multi starrer film 'Chekka Chivantha Vaanam' starring Prakash Raj, Aditi Rao Hydari, Arvind Swami, Vijay Sethupathi and Jyothika in major roles released last week. The film got critical acclaim and started bang on with its box-office collection down south.
Recently Ratnam lodged a police complaint against a random person who threatened him with a phone call of claiming a bomb planted in the film-maker's office.
The call came at Ratnam's office at Kesava Perumal Kovil Street at Mylapore. However, but when the bomb squad visited his office, it turned out to be a hoax call. Following it, he also received a threat call over removing some dialogues from the film. Meanwhile, the police are currently investigating the matter and trying to find out the man who made the threat call
On Thursday, the film earned Rs 8.05 crore, on Friday Rs 6.05 crore, on Saturday Rs 7.50 crore and on Sunday Rs 8.50 crore. Chekka Chivantha Vaanam has grossed approximately Rs 30.10 crore in four days in Tamil Nadu, which is quite overwhelming. As of now, the film is a political drama surround itself by controversy.
Talking about the film, its music is laid by the academy award ace A.R.Rahman and revolving around a strong political plot.
