(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Marc Anthony stayed in his hotel ordering room service following news of his marriage breakdown.

The singer and Jennifer Lopez surprised many by announcing they were separating after seven years of marriage on Friday.

The following evening Marc performed a concert in Bogot, Columbia. Although he appeared carefree on stage and even joked about his personal situation, saying he is "single", behind the scenes it was another matter. He stayed in a hotel, and was happy to stick to those four walls rather than have an evening out.

"Everything he ordered was by room service. He was distant from people," a source told People.

Spanish TV presenter Eva Rey saw Marc backstage and claims he was happy to be on his own. She'd been due to introduce him at a party on Friday night, but in the end he didn't show his face.

"I saw him when he was passing through the stage, but I think because he split up the day before, he didn't allow anyone to talk to him or anyone to come to his dressing room," she told the publication.

"The people who worked with him said he was a little bit upset, so because of that, they tried to keep everybody from him."

Marc's guitarist Mario Sebastian wasn't surprised he was able to forget his worries and put in a fantastic performance on Saturday. "He's a performer. He is as confident as all the band members are. The show always will go on," he said. (C) Cover Media
