(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Maria Shriver confronted her husband's mistress over suspicions that she was raising his secret love child.

The former journalist, who split from Hollywood star Arnold Schwarzenegger earlier this month because he was unfaithful, reportedly asked the family's housekeeper, Mildred Baena, if her son had been fathered by her husband.

It is believed that ahead of the shocking revelations, the 50-year-old staff member had pretended her son with Arnold was conceived with her then-husband Rogelio Baena, who is named on the boy's birth certificate.

When confronted by her lover's wife, Mildred broke down and confessed the truth.

"Maria has suspected this for a long time and she asked the housekeeper," a source told US website Radar Online. "The housekeeper admitted it. Maria then went to Arnold and he confessed."

Sources say that the Terminator star's scorned wife has hired a divorce lawyer, although claim she still isn't sure which steps to take next.

The Austrian-born politician addressed the scandal in an official statement earlier this week.
