(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Mariah Carey is rumoured to be giving birth today.

The American singer and her husband Nick Cannon are expecting twins, one boy and one girl, with the star expected to go into labour soon.

There is speculation the 42-year-old will have the babies today as she has apparently already booked a caesarean section.

Hollywood baby bump watchers are whispering that the singer is scheduled to undergo a C-section at an L.A. area hospital on Friday, reports Extra.

The couple havent commented on the report, but Nick was happy to discuss impending parenthood while on US television show The Talk yesterday.

He admitted the big day was close, and said he cant wait to be a dad. How's [Mariah] doing? She's pregnant, he laughed. She's doing amazing, but literally, it's any moment now. It's not even any day now She is ready to just pop!

The baby nurse and all that is ready. [The] bags are packed! I don't know why I'm here!

He added Mariah almost went to hospital on Wednesday as she thought the tots were on their way.

Becoming a father has made 30-year-old Nick think about life, particularly how he conducts himself. Hes decided he needs to take more care and not agree to crazy stuff he used to.

I was filming America's Got Talent, and I do a lot of crazy stuff on that show And I found myself thousands of feet in the air in a hot-air balloon.
