(Cover) - EN Movies - Marisa Tomei fled in terror after watching a horror film.

The Oscar winning 46-year-old actress was watching a New York screening of psychological horror film Daylight last weekend. However, the terrified actress had to leave the cinema following one particularly bloody scene.

"[Marisa] doesn't like scary movies," an insider told New York Post.

Daylight, which is directed by acclaimed filmmaker David Barker, focuses on a couple who pick up a hitchhiker on their way to a wedding. The journey then sees them fending off some vicious kidnappers.

While Marisa was left shaken by the brutal movie, she did eventually manage to compose herself and was later spotted chatting to the its star, Ivan Martin.

Despite her vast screen credits, Marisa only has starred in one real horror film 2000's The Watcher, which starred Keanu Reeves as a serial killer.

She will be seen next in upcoming comedy Crazy, Stupid, Love alongside Steve Carell. (C) Cover Media
