(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Mark Wahlberg has revealed the actors in his new film The Fighter got together for a punch-up before the movie was screened.

The 39-year-old actor plays American boxer Micky Ward in the film, which is based on a true story of the athlete and his quest to make it big in the sport.

Mark divulged that he and some of his-co-stars got together before the premiere of the film to re-live the rough fighting experience that they so enjoyed while shooting the movie.

The actor joked that he was surprised the cast didnt look black and blue for their photo shoots before the first screening of the film.

"Actually a lot of the guys who play fighters in the movie came back in town for this event so we got everybody back in the ring for old time's sake... Mark told ET. No black eyes on the red carpet tonight, which is a surprise considering how hard we were going at it."

The actor is married to model Rhea Durham and the pair have four children together. The devoted Catholic, who is expecting his fifth child with Rhea, admitted that his family is very important to him.

Mark said that the best gifts he has ever received were his "beautiful wife and four children". (C) Cover Media
