(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Matthew Morrison says every decision he makes in his life goes through his friends.

The 32-year-old actor-and-singer stars as teacher Will Schuester in hit US musical comedy series Glee.

The star has won a legion of fans since starring in the popular show, and says his success is down to the support of a "core" set of pals who have helped him along the way.

"I've been very fortunate in my life to surround myself with such a great, core group of friends. Every decision I make has to go through my friends," he said in a video interview with Bing. "They help me out with every decision I make, every single day of my life. They've really supported me in my pursuit of my dreams. I'm so lucky to have them in my life."

Matthew attended the Orange County High School for the Arts. The American star came to a crossroads during his time at the prestigious academy as he had to decide whether to continue pursuing musical theatre or venture into a sports career.

The actor's principal and executive director helped him with the choice.

"It was the first time I was really thrown into that world of taking acting classes and training my voice properly, and dance classes. I'd never really danced before," he explained. "Doctor Ralph Opacic sat me down and he made it really clear to me that I had something special and I should continue on with the arts. He gave me the confidence to keep going in my journey."

Matthew has become a sensation since starring in Glee. The curly-haired superstar, who has since released his debut album, will be forever grateful for the comedy series for boosting his entertainment career.

"Glee has become the biggest decision of my career. I'd done ten years of Broadway shows and I was looking for the next thing. It worked out in a big way," he smiled. (C) Cover Media
